MSC CRUISES MARKS FIVE MONTH COUNTDOWN TO MSC WORLD AMERICA’S ARRIVAL IN MIAMI WITH SNEAK PEEK OF SHIP’S CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS

11/25/2024

Geneva, Switzerland – November 25, 2024 MSC World America’s hotly-anticipated new features are taking shape, and MSC Cruises is providing a sneak peek from the shipyard with less than five months to go until the ship arrives in Miami.

MSC World America represents an important evolution for MSC Cruises’ successful World Class platform. The ship will usher in a new world of cruising with reimagined venues and concepts to deliver the ultimate experience for Caribbean cruises.

Guests sailing on the new flagship next year can expect a fresh take on MSC Cruises’ mix of European style and American comfort. MSC World America will be the line’s first to feature seven distinct districts, each having its own atmosphere, facilities and activations designed to enhance the sailing experience. This concept will allow every guest to choose their own vacation experience and maximize their enjoyment of everything the ship has to offer.

MSC World America will be named at a ceremony in Miami on April 9, 2025, marking the next step in MSC Cruises’ ongoing North American expansion. With less than five months to go, the cruise line is providing a glimpse into the construction process with a series of new photos showing:

  • Portions of The Harbour, which is an all-new outdoor park for families featuring the Cliffhanger thrill ride, a water park, a ropes course, a new complimentary grab-and-go restaurant, relaxation areas and more
  • The World Galleria, spanning three decks lined with restaurants, bars and shopping areas
  • The World Theater, which will be home to a new set of spectacular live productions
  • The ship’s exterior, including the moment MSC Cruises’ logo was recently mounted on the funnel

Bernhard Stacher, SVP Shipboard Hospitality Operations, MSC Cruises, said: “We’ve invested a lot into tailoring MSC World America to deliver a truly memorable cruise experience, with new restaurants, bars, experiences and spaces. With the only Eataly restaurant at sea, a brand-new Greek restaurant Paxos, and MSC Cruises’ first comedy club The Loft, there’s really a space and experience for every guest.”

William Monts de Oca Rivera, Head of Guest Experience Innovation, MSC Cruises, said: “One of the biggest innovations for MSC World America is The Harbour, part of the Family Aventura district, a brand-new revolutionary outdoor venue specially designed for kids and families to gather, play and relax together. It’s home to Cliffhanger—a state-of-the-art swing attraction 160 feet above the ocean that is going to bring a totally new dimension to the cruise experience.”

MSC World America is under construction at Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. The ship is in her outfitting stage, during which all of the interiors, public spaces and facilities are installed.

MSC World America cruises are available to book now, with the first sailing scheduled for April 12, 2025.
