Sequeira Joins MSC Cruises as Company Implements Ambitious Growth Plan in North American Market

MSC Cruises announced today that Marianne Sequeira has joined the company as the new national accounts manager.
In this position, Marianne will be responsible for elevating the company’s existing relationships with the industry’s largest travel consortia, franchise and host agency partners as well as developing relationships with new partners with national scope. In addition, Sequeira will introduce new programs to engage consortia members, home based agents and hosted agencies that will highlight the cruise line’s introduction of seven new ultramodern ships, plans for significant growth in the North American market as well as the development of a private island experience known as Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.

“It’s exciting to welcome Marianne Sequeira as the newest addition to our growing MSC Cruises Sales team,” said Ken Muskat, executive vice president. “With a strong background in the travel industry, Marianne will play a critical role in assisting MSC Cruises build brand awareness and create lasting relationships with our consortia, home based and host travel agency partners as we strategically grow and expand in the North American market.’’

Sequeira joins the MSC Cruises team with more than 20 years of experience in the travel industry. After beginning her career with Eastern Airlines, Marianne advanced into the role of Functional Analyst with Amadeus, living abroad in both Germany and France. In 1995, she joined the cruise industry holding positions as an International Sales Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Royal Caribbean and a National Accounts Manager for 7 years at Norwegian Cruise Line. For the last three years, she worked at The Hertz Corporation as a travel territory manager who assisted in the growth and development of Hertz’s car rental footprint.

Sequeira possesses several certifications including Tourism & Travel Services Marketing Operations, Leadership Development and Customer Centric Selling. As a native Californian, Sequeira currently resides in Miami.
