2.    Why we process the Data and on which legal basis?

a)    Contacting us 
Through our contact us page on the Website, you may get in touch with us by using the contact details available. In this case, we may process your name, surname, contact details and perhaps your institution or job title, as well as the content of your request. This processing is carried out to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract.

In any case, if you would like to book a cruise with us and you click on the dedicated link on the Website, kindly note that you will be redirected to another website where you can browse and review our various options for cruise trips. b)    Management of the operation of the Website. 
The Website’s operation, as is standard with any websites on the Internet, involves the use of computer systems and software procedures, which collect information about the Website’s users as part of their routine operation. While the we do not collect this information in order to link it to specific users, it is still possible to identify those users either directly via that information, or by using other information collected. 4.    How long is the Data stored?

The Data will be stored for only the time necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, respecting the principles of limitation of conservation and minimization.
The Data will be kept to comply with regulatory obligations and to pursue the above-mentioned purposes, in compliance with the principles of necessity, minimization and adequacy.
MSC Cruises may retain Data to fulfil regulatory and/or contractual or in case of legal claims. Subsequently, when the reasons for the processing will cease, the Data will be anonymized, deleted, or destroyed.

5.    What are your rights?

Each data subject can exercise the following rights by sending a request in writing to the contact details mentioned in section 1:

b)    To erase. You can require the deletion of your Data, to the extent permitted by law.

In cases of opposition to the processing of data, MSC Cruises reserves the right to assess the request, which will not be accepted if there are legitimate reasons to proceed with the processing that prevail over your freedoms, interests, and rights.
d)    To rectify. Where you consider that your Data is inaccurate or incomplete, you can require that such Data be modified accordingly.
e)    To restrict. You can request the restriction of the processing of your Data.
Furthermore, should you believe that the processing of your Data is contrary to the legislation in force, you have the right to lodge a complaint to the competent data protection supervisory authority.
