MSC CRUISES SUPPORTS WORLD CLEANUP DAY

21/09/2026

London, UK - 18 September 2026 - Employees from MSC Cruises volunteered alongside the Basingstoke Canal Society to support World Cleanup Day, helping to care for the local canal and surrounding area.
As part of the clean-up at Bridge Barn in Woking, employees from Woking-based MSC Cruises cleared vegetation from the Basingstoke Canal, cut back overhanging branches and removed graffiti, helping to keep the area looking its best for the local community and visitors.
World Cleanup Day takes place globally on 20 September 2026, bringing communities together to take action to help keep local environments clean.
The initiative forms part of MSC Cruises' wider commitment to environmental responsibility and supporting the communities in which its employees live and work.
Antonio Paradiso, VP of International Sales at MSC Cruises, said: "We're delighted to come together as a team to support World Cleanup Day and give something back to our local community. Working alongside the Basingstoke Canal Society is a great opportunity for our colleagues to get involved and make a tangible difference to the area around us."
